Peter, Thanks for the wake up call.

I am wondering how you see the Asia Crises affecting the Global markets? Is it a symptom or cause of the problem? Seems to me that many of the Asian economies grew up based on exports to the US and Japan. Is this crisis an indication that we are importing less or just that there are too many goods around? Have we reached the classic overcapacity crisis inherent in capitalist economics? I recently heard William Greider speaking on the subject of Global Capitalism. He made the point that in the next few years, 1/2 of the US auto industry will have to be dismantled. They just have too many cars.

Just wondering how you see this crisis unfolding and over what time-scale.

Thanks
