DownSouth - Re: "Is this new NIC w/INTC's name on it from MRVC as before? " I don't believe MRVC makes NICs - they make routers and switches and the like which Intel provate labels. The new NICs are most likely made by Intel and.or Compaq - using some of the newer Intel LAN chips such as 82558 - and possibly the 82559 - devices. They may possibly include Intel's i960RD chip as well - but that is my speculation. Paul
