IMO you are looking for meaning in minutia. These hour to hour fluctuations are just random occurences depending on when the order came in? Look for trends in day to day or week over week and in particular I think before events --before earnings, etc. Even if the MMs (does this mean market makers or what?) are playing every angle, they can't stop the flow of a river downhill (or salmon going upstream) jhg swim with the growing fishes in the known rivers; do not worry about the unknowable.
