Hi Bonnie; I have a hard time picturing Dell as being in the small cap index in the last 3 years. Any way I track about 20 sml cap no load funds, that all beat the sml cap index, but they do not match the Big cap growth Mo Mo funds. The Big mo mo funds dominate in gains so there is no way I can recommend value investing until I see that picture start to change. If momentum is King my fighting it won't change it. When Value becomes King again ( if ever ) then he will get my vote. If I ever get out of the dogs I have, I won't get back in any individual issues, I've done fair at picking but all in all could have done better at just timing and going in and out of no loads and the baskets, less expense , more diversity, and reduced risk, and not having to be so damm vigilante have their bright side.
