Although I totally agree with your analogy, you cannot factor in investor sentament in a horse race.

If you could, the nags would be winning. Look at the internuts. If one could look at a chart, or the financials of a company, and determine where the stock price is going, one could very soon become very wealthy. However, one can never determine whether a company will issue false news releases, etc., etc.
