Since it seems that some investors have lost patience and decided to sell today, I called the company again to see if the deal was still going forward. Though he couldn't tell me much, the individual I spoke to did say that all of the paperwork had been signed and was in satisfactory condition and that they were hoping to get final word on when it would close between August 25-30.

I got the impression the interim period would be spent doing any additional due diligence which is necessary, and possibly working out any final details. He also said there would not be any announcements prior to the final confirmation of the deal for confidentiality purposes.

Once again, it is the push it a little further down the road routine, but hopefully the mentioning of an actual date in the near future is a good sign. Since I have waited this long, a couple of more weeks is not going to kill me. Does anybody know anything else?
