"........Ascend plans to offer an ADSL system using carrierless
amplitude-modulation/phase-modulation (CAP) encoding, using a chip set
from Globespan Technologies Inc. (Middletown, N.J.). It also plans to
offer ADSL systems based on chip sets using discrete multitone (DMT)
coding, though Mathan said he could not disclose the vendor yet."

Any one following this story care to speculate on who the DMT supplier might be. Thanks.
