Here's another mistake in describing what the company does:

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- Applied Materials Inc.
(Nasdaq:AMAT - news), hammered by Asia's troubled
economies and tough times in the semiconductor industry,
saw its third-quarter profit fall 75 percent. Results also

reflected a restructuring charge of $35 million.
The company, the largest producer of equipment that makes silicon wafers, earned $47.5
million, or 13 cents a share on a diluted basis,

Since when did they start competing with MEMC and SEH?
