I think ISLI released a blurb this afternoon stating earnings will
come out after the close on the 18th with a conference call on the
25th. That leaves MIFGY announcing on the 14th with the annual
general meeting on the 20th. One thing that makes me a bit nervous
is both firms taking charges now for the merger. This is a one time
charge so it can be overlooked in lieu of the strategic nature of the
merger but in a tenuous market a company is given very little slack
with regards to anything remotely negative. The spread closed some
today but MIFGY is in not showing any strength. Depending upon what
they say we could see 32-33 or a move back above 38. Overall, I think
I am most interested in MIFGY's quarterly report.
