I don't want to debate whether or not certain OEMs will require 30-60-90 or more days in seeing production from the NI plant before they place an order. My suspicion is that some will take the longer periods and others, needing to be more aggressive and assure supply of the batteries due to their being smaller market participants, will test for < 20 days and match the performance characteristics with product that they no doubt have had for some time out of Henderson.

I would also not be surprised if we eventually learn that at least one OEM has already spent significant efforts toward designing in the Valence batteries in upcoming products.

And frankly, it ultimately does not really matter whether any initial large order comes in October or January. Ultimately the price will reflect the company's capability to produce - I'm confident we'll see that evidence by the end of September.

Finally, Valence (as well as ULBI and LITH) are all "Show Me" stocks - institutional investors will in all likelihood not be interested in taking substantial positions until either (or both) a visit to NI or production contracts, or at least some solid indications of same.

But anyone listening to the conference call had to feel comfortable about the tone of confidence in Dawson - and if you buy that he has some integrity and ability, you'll do just fine if you're a bit more patient.
