Yes, that is true, and I even hear on occasion that strong buying pressure has actually caused a stock price to rise. However, the power to manipulate the bid/ask still resides with those who also take the risk of filling investor buy and sell orders--the MMs. Definitely not trying to defend the MMs, but those who have the gold make the rules because they also can be the ones who front the cost to mine that gold. TG
