Ariel,

If they have to swap a board out, you must include
the cost of the new board in this whole debacle.
However, they may have a rework planned by cutting
and jumping traces,etc.

Other costs include administrative costs to manage
this project, which is probably a logistical nightmare.
Also, the shipping and receiving costs at their
factory must be considered (someone has to accept
and log the new inventory, and then check it out
of the system when it leaves)

Also, there is probably some form of re-testing
after the upgrade is complete which will cost money.

What I am getting at the impact is probably much
more than $3 million. They might say on
their next financial statement.

I think we can all agree this is money well spent
if it prevents even one serious injury or death.
