Fred, Good post re AIT I've done some forcasting in mature, domestic product categories in the past, and know first hand it is more art than science. In a still immature and dynamic industry like PC's, with worldwide demand influenced by economics and politics, I personally don't know how the Intel folks have a clue. Yet, when they report Q's, they always seem to be relatively close, three months before the fact. I wouldn't want the job of putting together those numbers, and having the revenue/profit of the company depend on my suppositions. John
