Hi John, I managed to tape the conference call this time and have played back a section a few times to capture some notes.

This is Lev's response to a question by Hugh Covington of Covington Associates:

"...I don't think I could negotiate with 14 potential customers simultaneously.....In fact, its probably more than that now. We have had discussions with several, I won't go into the number right now, but several....In some cases discussing terms and conditions, prices and delivery schedules....We must convince potential customers that we can meet delivery schedules...In the case of cellphone customers, they can fallback on liquid-electrolyte cells currently available if there is any problem with delivery.....In the case of portable computers, manufacturers must design batteries into their product...they can make a superthin computer that can operate 10-12-14 hours with our batteries in the base of it, that's even lighter than the 2 hour batteries they get now....In those cases they are a little more careful because they don't want to sink all their energy and design into the new product and have us delay and not produce batteries on time....In some cases with the portable computer manufacturers there is such a competitive edge to be gained with our technology that some of them are beginning to indicate that they are willing to take some risks..."

BTW, I particularly enjoyed Lev's conservative estimate that they should be able more than breakeven with product from line 1 alone.

Would it be reasonable to assume that lines 2-6 should be profitable also?

As someone said recently recently "Don't you just luv speculating?"

Regards, FMK
