Is anyone considering to invest in Asian markets now? Mark Mobius of Templeton Fund has already poured money back to the Asian markets. He had (before the crsis) a pretty good track record and is considered an emerging market guru. Obviously, he acted a bit too soon.

However, the Asian markets are extremely volatile. When they rebound, the magnitude is substantial and it happens in a very short period of time. Therefore, it is almost impossible to catch the bottm.

I would think that we are very near the bottom of most Asian stock markets (NOT economy), and I am looking at investing in Japan, S Korea and Thailand. Any comments?

Also, has anyone bought the country stocks of WEBS trading on AMEX? WEBS stocks mirror MSCI and they are not currency hedged. Their expenses ratios are about 1.4% which is quite high. Any thoughts?
