The negotiations between Lilly, Seragen and Ligand started way back in April 1997! That's a little bit of a surprise. It sounds like Ligand really thought that Seragen's science was worth going after. The stockholder's filing the suit wanted Seragen to hold out for a higher purchase price, IMHO. I wonder how much was spent developing Seragen's Fusion Proteins? I guess the next step would be to look at Seragen's pipeline and see just what comes with ONTAK.
