Hi everybody!
On my last post I predicted 2 splits before the end of the year. I know that it is easy to say these things but I have decided to explain myself.
Six dates are important to remember.
1) April 29 second quarter of CGI.
2) May 6, CGI announced a split 2 for 1.
3) May 27, CGI and Bell finalized their deal.
4) June 29, special meeting of the share holders approved the CGI and Bell deal.
5) July 31, CGI signed a contract with a American Insurance Company.
6) August 12, CGI signed a contract with la Conf‚d‚ration des caisses populaires et d'‚conomie Desjardins.

On June 29, Serge Godin said 2 important messages. The first one was that they were negotiating the buy of an important American Company in their cr‚neau and the second message was that they were looking to go on the NYSE in a near future. Since that date no big news beside today's news were important... so the market was anticipating the release of those two important messages and, no news came through so the price of CGI shares went from 34.85$ on the first week of July to 25.50$ yesterday.
Thats a droop of over 25%. Here is the scenario that I am thinking of : In a few weeks from now when the price of CGI will recover they will announced a major buy in the US and then the first split will come through. The second split should come after the announcement of the listing on NYSE. Finally for those who don't understand the droop of the last days just tell yourself that went XXM fell down by 20% rare are the stocks that don't follow the movement. In conclusion I believe that CGI management will play their card correctly.

Au revoir
Jean-Robert
