Gary,

RE:In fact, anyone know if their K families ever made any money ?

The answer is yes but it has been a long time and it wasn't very much. To find a quarter were AMD made a profit with the K family of cpu's you have to reach back to Q2 1997. If memory serves me correctly AMD turned a 7 cents per share profit. They also turned a profit in Q1 that year I think it was 9 cents per share. In Q1 1997 it was mostly driven by the K5-166 firesale and in Q2 it was caused by the release of the K6.
