"The IMF raided an emergency cash fund to find the latest money for Russia"

dailynews.yahoo.com

Amazed at the complacency of U.S. investors in light of the seeming powerlessness of CB's/govts to stave off global crisis.

1. The yen is again tonight at the 147 level, making the U.S./Japan intervention of a month ago a wasted effort.

2. Russian markets/confidence tanking despite IMF aid. Russian banking system now likely to collapse.

3. Indo ready to default despite IMF aid. Which was just recently supplemented.

4. Hang Seng below its level before IMF bailout.

5. Mexican Peso again trading at lows prompting "successful" 1994 bailout.

6. And a bonus: Canadian and South African currency crises in the making.

P.S. Does anyone NOT believe the globe is heading for depression? If so, I'd like to hear why.
