Mexico, Venezuela energy heads talk

Excerpt:

Mexico's Tellez said earlier this month it was too soon to begin talking about another cut to world oil production, despite calls from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to again trim output.

''The way the market is right now...only once the market is convinced the cuts are really taking place, will another round of cuts be useful,'' the source said.

A lack of confidence that supply has fallen as pledged has kept prices depressed, with the Brent benchmark near 10-year lows. Mexico's crude mix (CRUDE/OSP9) traded near $9.40 per barrel on Wednesday, compared with $10.63 in the first half of the year.
