Dennis, Tom, et al,

EZ-PnF will create a p&f chart from whatever it finds in a stock price data file, whenever you tell it to create a chart. EZ-PnF does not download the data or create the data set, that's up to the user. All EZ-PnF needs is a snapshot data set to read. It does not process continuous ie streaming data. The data set can even be an ASCII data set that is manually updated as you see the prices change, during the day.

So, if you have a data download that creates one of the database types that EZ-PnF can directly read eg MetaStock, MegaTech, ChartPro, TC2000, etc. OR creates ASCII, comma delimited, plain text data files in one of the 600+ forms EZ-PnF can read, then EZ-PnF will create a p&f chart when you say 'Make Chart'. I have seen, but never tried out, data feed services that say they deliver metastock and other types of intra-day data during the day at set intervals.

I know for a fact that there are futures and commodity traders using EZ-PnF to do intra-day trading. They also take advantage of EZ-PnF's capabilities to build p&f charts based on 2,3,4, or 5 box reversals and also do either Chartcraft, or user-specified fixed box value or user-specified logarithmic box scaling.

Does that help?
