And yes, in total, your suggested picks from last year would have brought you some nice gains. Of course the few that had loses (WDC and COMS) could have be "cut" from the portfolio earyl as one sensed weakening fundamentals in each of the companies. Hence, making the annual gains even more dramatic. Of course this excludes any dabbling in the AMZN, YHOO, AOL and other internet related flyers.

A good question now is what's on this years August list? Hmmm, I still like NOVL, but DELL and CSCO should continue to be stable large cap core holdings. I just think NOVL has a lot of room to grow going forward. I bought my shares last Dec97, so I'm not yet to that "frustration" point where I was to sell <grin>.
