I agree with that aspect that good works are important. I think there is no greater way to show respect for God and all of humanity, than by helping someone in need.
This next part is for you and Dan--
I know that you guys think that I am trying to make God in my image, or trying to make him fit a mold of my making. I guess the latter is true to some extent. The way I look at it is this. I am a man with a brain(how useful it is, is another question)I have been given the gift of logic and thought. Using those gifts, it is impossible to not have ideas of the way things should be, or have opinions as to what makes sense.
What makes sense to me is that God should be perfect. If he is not perfect, what is the point? Do any of you have any desire to worship an imperfect deity? If he is imperfect in any sense, then he can make mistakes. I think Anger, jealousy, insecurity are imperfections when it comes to a deity. Maybe I give God too much credit to assume perfection, but I dont think so.
