DJ: Customer Sports Offers to Acquire Third Facility

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Edmund J. Irvine, Jr., President of
Customer Sports (OTC Bulletin Board: CTMR), announced today that, following
months of discussions, its Community Golf Centers Division has made an offer
to purchase the Sunset Ridge Golf Center in Santa Maria, California in
northern Santa Barbara county. The facility, covering 28.5 acres, consists
of a 50 space night-lighted driving range, nine hole executive golf course,
teaching facility, and putting course.
"This area is ripe with opportunity," said Irvine. The range is located at
the Santa Maria airport and is situated midway between Santa Maria and
Orcutt in the "Central Coast" area of the state along highway 101. The area
has a population exceeding 100,000 people without any comparable practice
and teaching facilities.
The area is emerging as a center for the wine-making industry and is
attracting numerous light industrial and manufacturing companies because of
its climate and proximity to markets.
Price and terms of the potential acquisition were not disclosed.
The Community Golf Centers division of Customer Sports is a promotions
driven management company that acquires the operating rights at existing
driving ranges; improves and changes their image and performance; installs
its Back Nine membership program; and creates brand identification under a
profit- sharing agreement with the existing owner.
