Short version: NCD is absolutely continuing to sell X Windows connectivity products for both WinFrame and MetaFrame. Longer version: The 10-Q passage in question refers to the original OEM agreement that NCD and Citrix signed several years ago. This was for the NT 3.51-based Citrix WinFrame 1.x product, which we incorporated into our WinCenter Pro product. We have since signed a variety of other replacement agreements with Citrix. In shifting from doing direct sales to going through reseller channels (announced June 1, 1998), we are migrating from a completely-bundled product (WinCenter Pro) to a layered one (WinCenter Connect) that loads on top of a separately-purchased WinFrame. Similarly for the NT 4.0-based product, we are selling a layered product called WinCenter for MetaFrame (announced June 16, 1998). As with WinCenter Connect, this product loads on top of separately-purchased copies of the underlying Citrix MetaFrame software. This approach enables end customers to purchase WinCenter Connect and WinFrame, as well as WinCenter for MetaFrame and MetaFrame, from the same resellers. The result is a better overall solution for the customer and an even stronger working relationship for two of the longest allies in the thin client market: NCD and Citrix.
