More COMS takeover speculation 09:22 ET 3Com (COMS) 30: DLJ says stock's 2 5/8 pt rise yesterday based on takeover speculation. Names mentioned were Intel and IBM. DLJ believes it is most likely COMS will be consolidated into a telecom equipment maker such as Lucent rather than being taken out by an Intel or IBM. COMS shares indicated 1/4 lower this morning.
