Hi Frank,

I've worked with Illustrator since version 1.0, and I understand where you're coming from with your criticism of 7.0. I'm certain that you'll find as many detractors of Freehand as there are of Illustrator.

My experiences with PageMaker began with version 1.0. With the introduction of QuarkXpress 2.0, PMaker's dominant share of market began to erode - myself being one to switch to Quark's application.

Today, Quark is indeed the industry's standard but, you'll have to agree that there are probably more brickbats being thrown at Quark's newest release than with Illustrator 7.0.

However, software specific critiques are not my point.

My point is that ADBE continues to roll out new product. And, by and large, they seem to do the right things.

P.S. Go to some of the pre-press sites online and see what they have to say about PDF's! Scitex is one that immediately comes to mind.
