Pat, since I hold NN (fall,95) fall was always a very prolific time for big contracts.It is generally known that many big telecom will announce preferred vendors by the and of 1998.
Also, this year annual meeting was push by the and of the september from the first week of the september!(during last three years ann. meeting was always in first week of the month).My guess is that NN wants to bring lots of good news before annual meeting.
