Joe,

Interesting analysis<g>. What about options week, same thing<g>?

You know options week is f***ed up ;-).. you can never tell what will happen on options week. Anyone know what max pain is this time around?

Let's say your right about today...doesn't mean much...but it
will be meaningful to see if COMS bucks this trend somewhat
so as to determine that there is still demand. Similar to last
tuesday, down market day, but COMS moved up against the tide.
I'll be looking to see if it happens today.

Coms will finish down between 5/8 and 1/4 for the day.. wait and see. Program trading is designed to trade without affecting the price too much. Right now (at this point) we have low volume, little interest to buy at high prices. Give it until about 2:00 to flush the program and profit takers.

btw...I have a feeling that modems are selling better than
expected...it's just a strong hunch...do you know of any
reason to support this?

Well all I know is that a lot of people are buying 56k modems right now. Part of the reason may be the ever increasing delays in high-bandwidth solutions. Part of the problem may be people getting used to fast internet access at the office and wanting to go as fast as is reasonably possible at home (i.e. not the expense of ISDN).

I have a 5-8 wait right now for USR External or Megahertz modems. Not too shaby, but no where near the NIC wait of 2+ weeks.

Steve
