We need one of those Rambi pictures to wake us up.

Mole update -- We decided to initially go the humane route and try one of those ultrasonic things you stick in the ground to scare rodenti away. It better come soon, because our back yard is starting to look like Bushwood at the end of Caddyshack. We go on vacation in two weeks and I hope to seed the torn up parts before we go so they will have taken root by the time we get back.

We finally have all the estimates we need on the ceiling disaster from a couple of weeks ago. For the ceiling, one estimate was about $800 and the other was $130. For the same work. Methinks a bit of insurance padding on the first estimate there. For the piano, the story was about the same; one estimate was around $1,800 to repair and refinish; the other was in the $1,100 range. Total cost is around $1,250; we'll be out only our deductible. No claim against the seller or the inspector; just bad timing on our part.
