"PC Makers Hunt for Gold in Internet Hook-ups" Wall Street Journal, 8/12/98, Page B-1.

A few excerpts...

"...In each case, the internet company has agreed to share with the hardware maker a slice of the revenue on-line customers generate using Compaq or Hewlett machines....."

"...Still, PC makers are salivating at the thought that the internet could restore their battered profit margins. If they could cut the right deals, PC executives think internet and related services could provide 15% to 25% of their consumer revenue in just a few years....."

The article is refering to internet firms such as AOL, Amazon.com, and GTE but this business model is one we are all familiar with. It's an interesting read for all.

On another note my thanks to CJ for the Wall Street Transcript Article. I found this to be a very interesting piece. I hope this is the beginning of a long campaign that will start in September and roll into next year.
