I agree with your views.
I only wish I could express them in the same clear and concise manner.

Clear and concise.... I am certain you are likewise capable, it is only a matter of making enough errors while trying sufficient times not to repeat the same errors again, anyone can do it.

In re:

Maybe that is the meaning of life afterall. We humans are simply a plaything for a sadistic supreme being.

Sorta like Jim Carrey in Truman. All just a game, some of us winners, some of us losers, and "god" is the dealer/director.

I wonder who/what the audience is?

I would add this:

Creator - A comedian whose audience is afraid to laugh.

Clergyman: A ticket speculator outside the gates of Heaven.

And to keep this post on topic..... How is life in Mississauga, Ontario ?

Long time ago, I went fishing (first time ever), in a lake called Magnetawan, (in the upper part of Southern Ontario), by a town of the same name, about 250 miles straight north from where you are, going towards North Bay, beautiful country.

I remember the pike(s) that I caught, cleaned, and eagerly ate. The many lakes and general scenery of the area is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

I visited Southern Ontario many times, London specifically, and spent some time there.

I became exposed to ice Hockey, which to this day I fail to understand the objective of the game, I am not clear whether the objective is to bash in the heads of as many opponents as possible, while the scoring is merely incidental, or there is a secret code (known to the players and referees exclusively), to see how fast can one get rid of the gloves before pummeling the opponent's head (and one's knuckles in the process), in this instance the scoring is simply to hide the real objective of the sport, and fool the spectators out of their money.

I believe a more appropriate name would be Canadian Boxing, as in "I went to a fight and a Hockey game broke out...."

At times, I have tried to make a correlation between Ice Hockey, the sport, and the Canadian Penny Stock Markets, (particularly Vancouver). In this case, the issuing companies, (players), seem to be in collusion with the authorities, (referees), in the game of secret deceit, while the participants (spectators), think that making a profit, (scoring), is the real objective of the entire enterprise.

The only true correlation that can be established is the fact that in both examples the participants (stock Market) and spectators (Ice Hockey), seem to be the target of deceit. The spectators seem to be happy and eagerly seeking for more of the show, while obviously the participants of the stock market are frustrated and angry, yet for a strange reason, they do come back, as eagerly as the spectators in Hockey, for more of the same.....

Perhaps the real correlation exists between Ice Hockey and Life.... the common denominators being pain and deceit....

Such correlation could only be made if one were to hold specific views and beliefs in reference to the "meaning of life".

I for one, would not consider such correlation possible.

Of course, my opinion only.

On a different subject:

Do you still get visitors from your southern neighbors expecting to ski in the middle of summer, in the Great White North these days?
