......she apparently does her homework on the issue......one aspect that people seem to ignore is the cost issue also for any of these treatments. If most of the people who get aids are in there 30s or so older whatever. The cost for a lifetime regimen on these treatments can add up to alot of money for whoever pays for the treatment. I believe it cost around 15000-16000 per yr. (correct me if wrong). No where in the overseas mkt can they afford the cost associated with the treatment. There was a recent story on how the overseas countries can't afford treatment. They reduced the price on azt I believe to 300 in the african continent and that price is still a barrier. The major mkt is really the US and hence the profit area as well. Could be a possibility that insurers may want to bring the cost down at some point as well as the federal goverment. Would that put a profit squeeze on companies dealing with any treatment. Its ironic that its a disease that people want to control and have less of....but some companies have it as a growth vehicle for profits. The overall stk mkt right now if its function is to project the future of a company seems to be casting doubt right now. Its not my opinion that will cast doubt but others who have more power then the smaller shareholders. take care
