You go with the first signal (closed gap). Learned this from Jake Bernstein's "The Compleat Trader", which is basically for day trading futures. Don't have the book with me here, but I believe that his testing had indicated a 60 to 65 percent success rate. You have to use trailing stop losses after a decent gain is registered.
