I have heard AMAT alternatively called a:

500 pound gorilla
600 pound gorilla
800 pound gorilla

at around a $12 billion mrkt. cap, I'd say it's a good-sized baby chimpanzee but really isn't a true big cap with as much teeth and claws as people would like to believe. In its niche it roams fairly fearless, but just because AMAT always appears as most active doesn't make it a market mover. I guess I'm just musing about markets, and prices, and primates today.
