Bill Jackson, I am just on my way out of town so can't get into a long explanation of DNA fingerprinting and related tech. Blood includes some white blood cells that have nuclei and thus DNA. One drop is sufficient to amplify key segments by PCR and then restriction enzymes are used to detect fragment patterns that represent variant DNA sequences. Thereby genomes can be compared simplistically to say that this is Joe Banana's blood vs. Joe Tortilla's. This is the established and quite old tech (15 years) that can be applied to your perp identification.

My tech is quite different, I am detecting a single sequence of DNA within a single cell that we can see under a microscope. If I had a biopsy sample from a polyp in your colon I could tell you if certain cells carry a specific mutation in the Ras gene or the P53 gene that are likely to lead to cancer. This is a tech that provides completely new potentialities. There is no comparison to what you are talking about.

I am forming a company called GeneTAG Technology and am talking to venture capital people as well as established diagnostics companies. I may have a private offering available soon for bridge funding prior to an eventual IPO. In negotiation.

Regards, David S.
