Not sure if he was a detriment as some folks opinions suggest, FYI, I don't post very often, actually it's my first, I enjoy listening to you folks instead, but when I saw Ricky's post it struck a cord with me. My wife works at Ascend(Cascade) and recently mentioned that a key technical guy was leaving and she was bummed about it because he was a good guy. My wife is a pretty good judge of character and I'm pretty sure she thinks he was an asset. I was also interested in the fact that Lucent, where I work (Prominet), was pulling someone out of Ascend for some behind the scenes development. I'm not sure what to make of that or what it means to all the buyout speculation?
