Is it that his recommendations in particular beat out other recommendations? Alot of people tell me that his European picks or his banking picks are good, but if you look, money in any specialized European equity fund has had blockbuster returns this last year and any specialized banking fund has had blockbuster returns for the last five years, so it stands to figure if you had a European bank stock, chances are it went up. Also for the record, he said dump the Portugal Fund, Spain Fund and New Germany Fund just prior to this big European rally and each of these funds turned in stellar returns for the past year (Protugal Fund up more than ESF for the year).

I used to be a big supporter of Dessauer (still am I think), but are his picks good quality research or just a product of an up market. If you would have just held Santander and Nestle for 1992-1996, your returns in those two would have been flat. Obviously, with these two, patience definitely paid off, but will the same be said for Fletchers or any of the Hong Kong picks? or any of the American picks. Maybe he was hungrier when younger, but now seems as if he's coasting and enjoying his appearances around the world.

Has anybody else noticed that JD seems overly enamored with CCR-- that he pumps it three times as much as any other pick? Just wondering
