Terry, this is weird. Investments are not speculative gambles. Investments are to create something of value. The choice is unreal. You don't get $1000 unless you are curing cancer. If you aim at monetary gain, you are more likely to cure cancer - assuming of course that you are investing in the field. If you lose your money, you are much less likely to help cure cancer as you won't be able to allocate resources to the attempt.

Investing in Techniclone and private companies is to me a much more successful way of curing cancer than giving money to some institute. Because the motivation is more intense with value properly recognized.

There seems some peculiar idea that money is bad. It is not. It is simply a recognition of value. There are other ways to recognize value. But money is a very effective, universal and legitimate method of recognizing value.

What was the problem with copying golfdad97's comments Davis? I'd have thought somebody interested in curing cancer would be happy to spread the word. No?

Maurice
