Well, that's two for two recently (Symbios vs. Adaptec). The other one of course is the Intel SC450NX MOBO with, it appears, two Symbios controller chips on it. Boy, it seems hard to keep track of design wins of companies like LSI and Symbios. Another reason for "no respect"?
