REUTERS/InfoBeat FULL CLOSING BELL Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products (LHSPF) Late yesterday, LERNOUT & HAUSPIE SPEECH PRODUCTS said it was awarded $300,000 in the lawsuit between Alpha Corp. and Kurzweil Applied Intelligence Inc., a unit of Lernout & Hauspie. In December 1997, Alpha Software Corp. filed suit against Kurzweil for $12 million in damages for breach of contract. Lernout & Hauspie counter sued Alpha for failure of non-payment of invoices and other claimed damages. (Reuters 09:34 PM ET 08/12/98) ...this was supposed to be in our favor...and could/would have helped put this little company on the [street] map...apparently was not meant to be...
