insook-- on a technical basis, cyrix and AMD chips are better than most of intels current products. however, OEMs are loathe to use cyrix because they have done NO branding. those K6 commercials and good prices helped AMD win over IBM, HP and CPQ. now, as for all semis not being the same...agreed. but in this type of environment what hurts one hurts them all. its the same with DELL. everytime dogsh_t HWP opens its mouth to say (suprise) ' we screwed up again...for the ____ time' DELL takes a hit even though DELL hasnt missed a q in a long time. besides...NSM lays the blame on CPU sales...to the morons called analysts, that means that boxes arent moving. if boxes arent moving then MU must not be selling memory. of course its BS...the real problem is that no one wants an NSM product. good luck to all, trey
