Gottfried,>Brian, I wonder if Intel's processor shortage is intentional? GM [eom]< You don't think the self-interest of Intel would be a reason do you?<G> As a investor I love the limiting of a product to force upgrades, but as a consumer I hate it. My investor mentality at this point wins out. Have you read the book, The Gorilla Game. It indicated that since the Gorilla controls the standard it can make changes which requires other corporations and others to conform to the Gorilla.

It just occurred to me, is this the reason that the Gov. is after Intc and Msft. They control the standards and can make changes which forces others to conform. Then, the Gorilla can make addition changes. The result is that the non-Gorilla's never can get caught up and have limited resources to make changes.

Just my thoughts.
