On the contrary to your CompUSA experience in Albany, NY, the one in Warwick, RI, has only three or four models of K6 or Cyrix out of almost two dozen computers. I found most of the sales people pitching P-II systems to customers however.

Face it. CompUSA's problem resides in retail business. Nowadays, with plummeting prices, you can hardly make money with razor thin margins. The profit, if any, resides now in whole sale business, where high volume and low overhead is the key to success.
