Vogel is definitely hot on this company and the BB fixed wireless technology. And though his DCF price targets are higher than any others, both he admits (and I agree) that they are CONSERVATIVE. Of course, having a strong read of the communications landscape (which many of the more Bellhead biased analysts are still grappling with) and getting more fund managers to also get that "read" are two different things.

Bottom line is, WCII is a golden property. All IXCs, CAPs, RBOCs and CLECs NEED what WCII is building. So rumors involving any of the major players is highly plausible. FON's ION needs a HBW LL solution, as do the networks that QWST, LEVL, IIXC, WCOM, and T are building or planning. And the RBOCs would love to own or partner with this national capability as well. But management and execution are KEY. WE NEED to make up LOST time in getting switches, hubs, and onswitch/onnets booked.

Painful to deadly for those of us leveraged in shorter term WCII instruments, but longer term, IMO, this company is one to dollar cost average into (ESPECIALLY at these levels, though it COULD get cheaper as the market dictates) whenever possible.

BTW, NBMO didn't know this rumor as soon as others did. A NY fund I've spoken with suggested FBR as their source, but it wove its way around both sides of many of the street's trading and research desks.

Not a moment too soon - should be pretty interesting in the manana, especially ahead of pre-Grand Jury weekend.
