Responding to every Viagra article would require a daily press conference that probably would generate even more irresponsible stories from news hungry reporters. agreed. however, this is simply one theoretical solution. and it is far from being a desirable one; clearly, no company may be expected, or should even consider such a dignifying the rumor/lawsuit/ misstatements approach with anything remotely akin to daily press conferences. one remedial solution short of the above might include an editorial response, or series of public announcements, in an appropriate venue. being conservative does not vitiate the need for affirmative action in support of shareholders....( by the way, i am a long term investor here, and day to day fluctuations are not my specific concern, but rather as i have said an historical precedent notable for its sin of ommision]
