They don't have to convince a contract manufacturer to build them, they just have to have the money. You need to build pre-production units to demo to potential OEMs.

The BIG question is why an OEM would buy their product over anybody elses. The ballast market is very cost driven. Its great to have technology, but if nobody buys it, who cares?

Many have gone down the dimmable ballast route only to find the key benefactor (ie, the consumer who pays the electricity bill) has nothing to do with ballast selection. Dimmable ballast have been around for a while. Don't you wonder why you don't see more of them?

I would want to know more about the OEMs that will buy their production units and why vs competition.

Just my opinion. Good Luck.
