Elmer:

<<So AMD will be increasing their speed by 17mhz while Intel will be increasing their's by 50mhz (400mhz -> 450mhz). AMD is falling farther behind. For the first time they will be a full 100mhz slower. >>

Why not? PII-350 is selling for $370 in www.pricewatch.com . At 25% discount K6-2-350 is $277. That is good money for a chip that cost less than $50 to make. AMD will still making good money even is Intel drops their PII-350 to $150! And you know what? Intel 0.25um process yield plenty of 333MHz and 350MHz and not so hot at 400 and even at 450. Just ask the guy down the street whether he/she is going to buy a 350MHz for $270 or 400MHz for $570. They will buy the LOWEST $/MHz
Elmer. Too bad Intel is short of 266 and 300.
