Paul, Thanks for the news alert on Notebook PCs. The Gateway entries sound good, but I have never had experiences with this vendor and friends who did aren't crazy about their support/service (which I think is particularly important in laptops). Still leaning toward the SONY and new Thinkpad "lean and mean" 600 by IBM--am willing to skip a few bottles of nice wines to make up the price differential. <g> On a different note, I hope NSN's woes won't drag down Intel or the whole semi sector again; we've been back and forth too many times.
