Clinton weighs admitting sexual contacts

WASHINGTON - President Clinton's legal advisers are weighing a plan to have Clinton signal that he had more than an ordinary relationship with Monica Lewinsky in his testimony to a grand jury on Monday, according to an adviser familiar with preparation. The adviser, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Clinton could even signal that the relationship was possibly sexual but refuse to give specific or graphic details. The news comes as a new USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll reveals most Americans want Clinton to tell the truth about an alleged affair with Lewinsky when he testifies. Three-fifths of those polled said repeatedly lying about an affair under oath would be serious enough to remove Clinton from office.
